Want more sales? Let others talk you up
3 min. 3 sec.

My business grows every time I share a testimonial. My ego grows every time I read it.
Hey Boss 👋
People don’t just buy your service—they buy confidence that it’ll work for them.
And nothing builds that confidence faster than proof. Real proof. From real people.
It’s one thing to say “I’m good at what I do.” It’s another when your past clients say it for you. That’s when strangers start trusting you instantly.
Let’s talk about the most powerful kind of marketing you’re probably underusing: social proof.

GROWTH HACK 📈
The simple way to build trust using social proof
Here’s how to get more leads, signups, and sales—without changing a single word of your offer.
1. Use screenshots, not just polished testimonials 📸
Testimonials are great—but they can sometimes feel scripted. Screenshots of real messages? Instant authenticity.
👉What to do:
Start collecting kind messages, DMs, emails, or comments. Even short ones like “this was so helpful!” can be turned into powerful proof.
Post them with context, and blur names if needed.
2. Highlight transformations, not just praise 🔄
“Jane is amazing!” is nice. But “Before working with Jane I was stuck. Now I have a waitlist” is persuasive.
👉What to do:
Ask past clients to describe where they were before, what changed, and where they are now.
Then turn that into a mini story you can share.
3. Make it visible—everywhere 📍
If your testimonials are buried on one page no one clicks, they’re not working for you.
👉What to do:
Sprinkle social proof across your site, emails, booking pages, and sales funnels. Use tools like Senja or Proof to automate it if needed. The more someone sees that others trust you, the more they will too.
4. Let your clients sell for you 📢
Sometimes your best sales pitch is simply: “Here’s what someone else said after working with me.”
👉What to do:
Start posts, emails, or even sales calls by referencing a past client’s experience. Use lines like: “Here’s what Sarah told me after we finished her project…” Let the results speak before you do.
5. Ask at the right time 🕐
People love to give great testimonials—if you ask at the right moment.
👉What to do:
The best time to ask is right after a win. Send a message like: “Hey, would you mind sharing a few lines about your experience? I’d love to share your story if you're cool with that.” Make it easy. Offer prompts if needed. Most people are happy to help.
4. Build it into your offboarding
The best time to ask for a referral? When the client is happiest. That’s usually right after the project ends and they’ve seen results.
👉 What to do:
Include one final CTA like: “If you’ve enjoyed working together, feel free to pass my name on to anyone else who’d benefit. I’d love to help them too.” Keep it low-pressure. No formality. Just a friendly nudge.

Entrepreneurship isn’t just about strategy and execution—it’s deeply personal. The emotional and mental challenges often come before any external success, making inner growth just as essential as business growth.
Being an entrepreneur is 50% building a business, 50% facing your shadows.
And the shadows always come first.

Quick recap
Social proof works because it removes the risk. It tells your future clients, “This works—and here’s proof.”
So don’t hide your wins. Don’t wait for the perfect quote. Start sharing what real people are already saying about you—and let them do the selling.
As always, reply if you want help pulling your best proof together!

Recommend the BLAB Website
[Websites Like A Boss] is a great product for my coaching business. While I love working in my business as a coach, I'm not that tech savy to be able to build a website.
(…) I appreciate the assistance and am thrilled with my new website. Would recommend the [Websites Like A Boss] product and team.”
